Mike van Bokhoven's Heron MJ1

Here's some shots of the body as it is now. It's had all the old paint removed (a very long, tedious process). The enormous steel structure has been pulled out of the back - that wasn't quite so difficult. Amasingly enough, all the nuts and bolts came undone very easily, nothing was terminally rusted up or seized. The first few shots are of the original rear subframe and mechanicals after their removal from the car. The design seems to be executed well enough, however it's been made out of steel that's far too heavy for the job. The frame probably weighs about as much as the engine and box do.
